About The Retune Project
Lofi label operated by J Fletch (artist on Sphere of Hip-Hop, hence the Alt Jazz alliance connection, demos shared across labels via the common Google Form). Tagline: "Pioneering artist ownership in lofi music." Core promise: artist retains majority share of their music, label sees itself as a service layer, not as the owner of the work. Approach: runs a network of lofi playlists and pushes them with paid Facebook + Google Ads to drive real, organic-quality listeners (their wording: "100% organic results, real time data to improve advertising"). So the model is closer to "playlist growth + label services" than to traditional A&R. What they want: lo-fi, chill hop, sleepy beats, jazz hop and adjacent genres. Explicitly state any size of artist gets the same consideration ("any artist no matter how big or small receives the same consideration").
