Cuddly Records sits in one of the more unusual corners of the lofi adjacent world. A label whose name promises something plush and warm, while the actual music inside lives in dark, liminal, half empty spaces. The tension is the whole point. Cuddly is the security blanket. What's under the blanket is stranger. The aesthetic territory is silentcore, liminal lofi, dark ambient, sleepy lofi, with the occasional sharp turn into breakcore. Music for the parts of life that don't usually get soundtracked: the 3am drive through an empty city, the long hallway in a hotel you've never stayed in, the moment between awake and asleep where reality feels slightly off. It's not lofi to study to. It's lofi for the moments when you're alone with the room and the room is quieter than it should be.
