Coastal Chill Records

Open for submissions

Coastal Chill Records is a lofi label founded by Conor, a Southern California native and lofi producer in his own right (releasing as CMJ). Born and raised on the coast, Conor built the label around the chill, relaxing music he loves, and around fixing the things he saw working with other labels.

That experience shaped a few core principles that guide how the label operates:

1. Plain English contracts, so artists fully understand what they're signing

2. Artist friendly royalty splits, because artists are the core of any label and deserve fair pay

3. Education on royalties, helping artists navigate confusing music business law and collect everything they're owed

4. Timely distribution, getting tracks out with plenty of runway to pitch editorial playlists and land placements
