The label went digital, reaching more people and keeping the music flowing worldwide. The focus is on smooth, mellow beats for any vibe, but Autumn Theory is not just about the sound: it helps artists grow their reach and connect with listeners everywhere. Cat Café Records is a lofi label built around one of the warmest cultural metaphors the genre could borrow from, the cat café. A real place in Japan where people drink coffee, pet cats, and slow down for a while. That's the entire thesis here. The label wants to be exactly that kind of room, but in audio form. A welcoming, cozy spot where the listener can step out of the day and feel a little softer. The musical lane is clear: instrumental lofi, chillhop, jazzhop, study beats. Warm, cozy, easy to live with. They want music that fits naturally into their cozy playlist world while still carrying its own personal voice. That last part matters. They're not building a generic background lofi conveyor, they're looking for tracks with character delivered inside a soft, comfortable frame rather than an experimental one.

Chill Ghost is a Lo-Fi & Chillhop record label based out of London, founded by two producers who decided that there needed to be a fairer and more artist-friendly record label in the space. Releasing music nowadays means trying to dodge constant pitfalls and sometimes straight-up scams. Chill Ghost aims to combat these problems by educating its followers and providing a transparent release process for artists.

Chill Owl is not really a label, but a dedicated playlist curator with its own ecosystem across streaming platforms. The whole brand revolves around curated listening experiences rather than pushing releases like a traditional label. Their main strength is themed playlists. Instead of one broad “lofi” bucket, they build separate spaces for different moods and use cases: jazzhop, sleep focused lofi, cosmic and dreamy atmospheres, gaming beats, study sessions, meditative vibes, and more. Each playlist feels like its own little world, which is useful for artists because you can target a specific aesthetic instead of submitting blindly to “general lofi.” You can immediately understand the direction just from the playlist concepts themselves: calming zen energy, sleepy nighttime ambience, spacey imagination driven moods, background music for gaming, or soft study and coffee shop vibes. Chill Owl basically covers most of the functional and lifestyle side of the lofi spectrum, without positioning itself as an ultra niche curator.

Coastal Chill Records is a lofi label founded by Conor, a Southern California native and lofi producer in his own right (releasing as CMJ). Born and raised on the coast, Conor built the label around the chill, relaxing music he loves, and around fixing the things he saw working with other labels. That experience shaped a few core principles that guide how the label operates: 1. Plain English contracts, so artists fully understand what they're signing 2. Artist friendly royalty splits, because artists are the core of any label and deserve fair pay 3. Education on royalties, helping artists navigate confusing music business law and collect everything they're owed 4. Common Theory Records is an instrumental hip hop label based between Ghent and Munich. Even that geography says a lot about their identity: this is a very European approach to beat culture, shaped more by jazz influences, musicianship, and underground production traditions than by the typical “coffee shop lofi” formula. The scene they operate in is much closer to the classic beat scene lineage inspired by figures like J Dilla, Madlib, and Stones Throw Records than to modern streaming focused background lofi. Their world is rooted in instrumental hip hop as an art form, not just passive listening music.

Tagline: "freshly roasted lofi jazz beats". Slogan reference: their YouTube reach is famous (the "favourite cafe, jazz lofi mix" featured Sphere of Hip-Hop's Evening Stroll, for example). Send tracks via Google Drive or private SoundCloud link, all material must be unreleased. Currently accepting for artist Compilation releases (so the entry route is compilation, not solo signings via the public form). What they want: Primary genres: jazzy lofi, jazz hop, jazz rap, swing hop beats. Secondary genres: anime lofi, midnight lofi, asian lofi, folk lofi, space lofi, various cultural lofi themes. Not accepting: chillhop with electric guitars (explicitly stated as a no right now). Approach: runs a network of lofi playlists and pushes them with paid Facebook + Google Ads to drive real, organic-quality listeners (their wording: "100% organic results, real time data to improve advertising"). So the model is closer to "playlist growth + label services" than to traditional A&R. What they want: lo-fi, chill hop, sleepy beats, jazz hop and adjacent genres. Explicitly state any size of artist gets the same consideration ("any artist no matter how big or small receives the same consideration").
