Selected by PLYGRND is the curation arm of PLYGRND Music, a Berlin label and publishing company anchored in Hip Hop, Jazz, RnB and Soul. The word selected is doing deliberate work. This isn’t a playlist, isn’t a release list, it’s a filter. A hand-picked read on what’s worth hearing in that corner of the scene right now. The posture is quietly editorial, less “lofi curator who posts beats”, more “A&R eye looking for the next thing that matters.”

The territory is grown-up beat music. Jazzhop with real chord movement, hip hop with actual craft, soulful R&B, textures that come from a real room. Not the sleepy-background end of lofi, not the viral TikTok end of beats. Music that respects the lineage it draws from, J Dilla, Nujabes, Stones Throw, the European beat scene, and extends it rather than imitates it.
